If you are interested in the overall runoff conditions and snowmelt process you definitely should check the Spring Runoff Report. Don't expect too much local coverage. Tips are mostly based on the worst possible scenario and sometimes far beyond the requirements given by the laws of hydrostatic force. Most remarkable tip: flood your basement with drinking water (try to explain that your flood insurance company!). At least you find information on how to claim financial disaster assistance. Access the water flow and level information from many streams taken by Environment Canada's gauges. Just select the gauge on the map and see the data displayed in graphs. Very customizable. Available only during the flood season. Water Level and Flow Information currently not available BCHydro BC Hydro Reservoir and HydroMet Data for British Columbia. Access BCHydro's own measurements on reservoirs and streams. Some data are not available online yet but can be requested in form of weekly reports, which also include some forecasts based on gate openings and dam management.
